I accidentally deleted an applicaton on my mac. If i put in my original cd that came with the computer so i can get my application back, will it delete stuff on my computer??

Basically, I's still shopping around for an Apple iMac, now I am being offered a second hand G4 model or there is a retailer that do re-furbished newer models say the G5 model (at a slighty cheaper cost than buying a brand new one), now should I spend more moneis on an upto date model or would the G4 model still do me a good turn in years to come???

have tried but can not get into the darn thing, need to get into the cmos and reset it, or perhaps a websitwe would be useful. anyone else had trouble getting their computer manufacturer to recall their computer, because mine dont seem to care a jot, have even threatened legal action.

The problem is a while back my computer just slowed down of course its a HP but I'm wondering can I put an amd motherboard into an HP computer and change the processor of course but would the computer work right or would I be screwing something up by putting a different brand into it. I don't know whats wrong with it but I don't want to through it out so any answers would be helpful. Thanks

i have got a trojan on my pc, which has been there for over 2 months now,i just can not get rid of it,

it does not let me download things so i can remove it,
i have try ring computer shops but its going cost me a arm and a leg,

so i was wondering if there is anything i can do to remove it,
it is also turned of my norton security, and i can not get it back on,

i have windows xp,

and my pc going slow is that because of the trojan on it,

I need to replace the CPU fan on my Dell 4600c. The replacement part comes with the fan and heat sink attached by 2 screws(see link). Is it OK to replace just the fan, and leave the old heat sink in place? I'm worried about disturbing the heatsink/cpu bonding, and the possibility of messing up the attachment clips.

I was messing around with partition magic and deleted then merged my D:drive with c:... The d: drive used to be the restore drive from the manufacturer... My computer wont boot now

I have put in a my backup disk for acronis, and it says everything is still on the c: drive... Why wont it boot? It just hangs... Do i need to put something into the boot menu or something? i'm lost... and i need help! i've got 3 computers over here and this is only one of them... please help!

When I look at the task manager, I understand the "Applications" shows what is running, but is the "Processes" supposed to show an entire menu of exe. applications or should they be closed (end process)? Would it be harmful to close (end) them?

I was told that my motherboard was bad and needed to be replaced. The computer still didn't work, and a different shop said that the processor should always be replaced at the same time as the motherboard, and that the proc now needed to be replaced.
Is this true? I suspect that the Motherboard was never bad, and that the proc was the problem the whole time.

hey, our internet connection isn't working on my home computer, a compaq S6300NX, so we decided we would do a full system recovery. well, we put the disks in, booted from them, and we selected full recovery, and then as it was saying preparing recovery partition, it froze, and the bar wouldn't move, so my mom was impatient and held the power button, tried it again, and it goes about half way on the bar, then says hard drive write error, press any key. so i did, then it reboots and does it again. It is runnin XP SP2, and we replaced the HD a couple months ago. could that be the problem?
