where do they go?

ok so my school just got a new wave of computers
and one of my teachers told me that they pay a company to take em

now i know that a couple of big businesses do the same thing

so where do these computers go and how can i get my hands on one of them for free

They are checked, repaired, or torn apart for "parts". Any working ones can be resold at computer shows, given to charities, leased to businesses, etc. Normally they are NOT given away to individuals.
