I have 512mb ddr2 ram,40gb free hdd,intel pentium 4 3.06 ghz cpu?
I found no virus,spywares on scanning,my cpu temp ranges from 50-58 degree celsius,is it normal or overheated?
I think its hardware problem,pls help me guys?

sounds like in bios you have either target temp or shutdown temp set. This in itself not a bad thing but maybe it's set too low.
you should go into bios(delete key on startup) and check these settings. although 50c isnt likely to be max setting it's still towards the warm side, you might want to make sure all the fans in case and on cpu are working and do alittle cleanning if you have dust build up on fans or components, a cool computer is well COOL :), and will last alot longer!

I have had that same problem and found it to be the ram. you can easily test that just use a different stick that you may know to be good or if you have two 128 sticks in there try each individually. then see if the problem is still there. If it is not the memory then it may be your cpu. you are most likely right It sounds like it is hardware. I hope you figure it out .... sounds annoying..

Your workstation won't and would't run devoid of RAM. each and each single utility your workstation runs and each command you coach the workstation to take part in has to go via the RAM.

hey check if u r cooling fans are spinning properly...
may be its getting over heated.
how do u know ur cpu temp so accurately??
