My questionS are

Warranty information . when i buy my computer there can i buy warranty here to cover that or if i buy warranty there will it be covered here in australia.

Time regions . U noe with the time region thingy on all computers will i be able to select GMT time ?

POWER PLUG and MagSAFE.
Do i have to buy a transformer to change the electrcity setting thing or do i just buy the converter to put on the metal part .

Hypothetical Example: someone owns a computer and they bought it way back in 1999. And maybe they have gotten a computer since then, but they don’t want to just waist a perfectly good computer, even if it is really old. Would it be possible (hypothetically) for this person to purchase a mother board, processor, hard drive, memory, ect. and create a modern computer using the old exterior to keep it in? How hard would something like that be for the average person? How hard would something like that be for the average person who could get a hold of an old friend who worked in the computer industry for several years?

Basically I’m a cheep guy and don’t support giving my money to billionaires, and it would be cool just to say I “built” my own computer kind-of.
How cool would that be; someone comes over and starts making fun of your computer because it looks old. But then you turn it on and it kicks butt.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an Intel motherboard, and it cannot boot. It has 256MB of RAM (1 module), an Intel Celeron D processor at 2.53Ghz.The power supply is functional, I am actually using the RAM right now to test if it works, (obviously it does), The CMOS battery is fine, I tired the processor in another socket 478 mobo and it works. What is wrong?

Computers used to be machines that could only be used by pros.. then they could only used by people who learnt about it... now everyone can use them... they are so idiot proof, even assembing a computer is idiot proof.. they colour code everything... i'm like 17 and i assembled a computer (as in put it togetether) when i was still half asleep... can't everything be a little more complicated?

There are so many arguments and opinions on whether AMD or Intel processors are better?

Here we have two similar processors - but one is the... AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600... The other is the... Intel Core 2 Duo E6400...

So which is the better one... considering Speed, Power Consumption, Noise Levels, Graphics and overall Performance etc etc?

Who's the Winner?
