i want to put 2000 back on and i am wondering how to put it on whenever i am starting up and it says press del to got to the bios anyhelp

dont mess w/ the bios, just put in the win2k boot disk and goto town..

however, win2k is almost end of life, so you will not receive updates to the system on the off chance new bugs/virus' come out..

As is already stated in some answers,you cannot format from the bios.
You did not say if you wanted to keep XP.
Anyway,the answer is too lomg to go in detail here,
suffice it to say you can't/shouldn't install Win 2000 after XP.
It should be first Win 2000 and then XP

Prpoperly set up,you get the choice at startup
which OS you want to boot into.

you need to boot from the cd rom not the bios then format the drive and instal 2000 from the disc

insert your win2000 cd to ur cdrom, then restart, change the boot sequence from boot1-HD to boot1-cdrom then follow the step by step procedure that would load from the cd,
