An IBM 386 has got to be 13-15 years old. It may not be capable of running new programs. Be sure to check the specs before buying anything.

You can help with speed, without upgrading, by keeping wallpaper and screensaver set to blank or none, clear startup menu of anything you do not need everyday, and go into Safe Mode and run a Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, and a defrag. To get into Safe Mode:

Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5. From Start, Programs, run your AV program, Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, and defrag.

When it is finished, Restart. You will probably find your icons messed up. No biggee. Drag them back into place.

100 meg HD? LOL...You couldn't even install one game on it...so No, it's not a good deal for $700!!! Not only that it's probably a Pentium 3 processor...they're trying to rip you off!

It's so out-of date you'll be lucky to do anything with it.....virtualy nothing will run on 8 mb of ram...upgrading would be a waste of money....you got ripped off completely ! ! !

For 700$ you could have bought something a lot newer and a lot more powerful.

Try to get a refund IMMEDIATELY ! ! ! !

And get help from someone who knows what computers cost and what decent specifications are ! ! !

Good Luck.
