not too shabby
I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
250 GB HDD
Ati Radeon x600 PCI Express
1 GB DDR Ram
Running XP Media Center
and it's decent for gaming. Yours should be a lot better with the extra ram and faster cpu

didnt say anything about the board, but i'd go AMD if you were going to be gaming with it... get rid of XP Pro.. if you want to stay with XP, go with Media Center... if not, go Vista Ultimate.
as with the video card, i would have went with the 7950 or even went SLi if you were going to pay that kind of money anyway.
ah well. it will do ya for a couple weeks and then you can upgrade to something like my beast.
good luck.

as everyone says it would be better if it were AMD, HDD you can go for 300 GB and GPU is pretty old. the 8800 is the latest.
but for current games its good.
