i have m7250n HP media center desktop PC. for some reason i was tryin to do recovery by pressing F10 command. I m not sure what i m suppose to do after that ...its asking me for some command after c prompt .....it was showing like c:/ windows ..i dont know what to put here ...please tell me step by step instructions ..thanks

Well, it is pretty simple with your machine.

All you would need to do is restart the computer and then at the time of booting press the F10 key to initiate the recovery process.

HP Media Center computers that ship with Windows XP do not come with recovery CDs. Instead, they use a hidden space (partition) on the hard drive to store the recovery information. Using a hidden partition provides a more convenient, more stable recovery process that eliminates the need for CDs that can be scratched or lost.

A set of recovery discs can be made by using the HP Recovery Disc Creator software. Click Start, All Programs, Hewlett-Packard, HP Pavilion PC Tools, and then HP PC Recovery CD Creator.

1 If you have the CD put it on and follow instructions.
a repair option also should appear
or Press F8 and select Safe Mode.
Try a System Restore..
2. C:/windows will try to load the OS.
if you press ENTER key.

First you have to admit you have the problem before you can recover.When you do you can star....Oh,I apologize.Wrong recovery.
