It seems like Macs are more expensive, does that mean they are better? I like to watch movies, play games, video edit and occasionaly run applications like Blender and Photoshop. Which system is better for me?

I'm not sure my PC is able to automatically correct for the new Daylight Savings Time that occurs at Midnight, Sunday March 10, 2007.
I don't want to screw up my whole PC, but do need to be sure the time has been reset to reflect the early time change.

I'm running Microsoft's IE 7. If you can give step-by-step instructions from my Control Panel, I'd greatly appreciate it.
PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.
THANKS ALL

Hi all,

I am putting together a new PC. I want it to be overclockable and I want it to work with DX10 when I upgrade at the end of the year (because of this, I am not going to spend a lot of money on a graphics card).

The components are:
Gigabyte GA 965P DS3/DS4 (havn't decided yet)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
2gb Geil PC6400 800MHz ULL DDR2 RAM
Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Case
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (775)
X-Fi XtremeMusic OEM
Connect3D Radeon 1900gt
Samsung SH-W183 CD/DVD RW+/RW-

What do you think of the setup? Also, any suggestions of a PSU?

I have a Maxtor harddrive that crashed over a year ago (it was about 15 months old when it crashed).

Is there a way to cheaply extract the data? Can I simply switch out the harddrive disk with another harddrive disk?

Is there a cheap service that can extract the data?

I have TONS of pictures, video, and music on that harddrive that I really need to gain access to.

Please help!

Recently purchased a new motherboard for my PC so that i could install a better processor. When i installed the motherboard it fitted perfectly, i screwed it to the base of the case installed all other comonents and wires, the only thing i had trouble with was the wires leading from the front of the case for the power button and front USB's, but i worked around this by leaving off the connection from the front USB ports and just installed the power on button and speaker leaving the light off. After everything was installed i switched on the pc, it ran through to a black windows screen with alot of options in how to boot up the pc, i tried start windows normally but this just runs to a screen which breifly shows the windows loading page but then the pc restarts itself, im pretty sure everything is fine in the BIOS, the hard drive has VISTA installed on it but i dont think this is the issue as i have tried a hard drive with Windows XP installed on it, why is this not working?

I got a Dell Dimension 4400 about 6 months ago and upgraded several thing to it to make it decent enough to play some online games. Wih one of the games I have, I receive 100 frames per second until lots of things appear on the screen , the it will quickly drop to the 30s. This makes enjoying the game much more aggrivating to play. I can't figure out what would cause this problem but I'm thinking it's my processor. Here's the specs:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.60GHz
768 MB Ram
20 Gig Hard Drive

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
Monitor: Plug in and Play CTX Color Monitor

Since I believe the problem lies with my processor, I looked up a replacement one at dell and all I came up with was what seems like a slightly better one(could be wrong) for an enormous price($319).

I'd like to know what hardware is causing this problem and what I can do to fix it.

Alright Ive got a Dell 2400 series, and a 128 stick in one slot and a 256 stick in the other. So that makes 384mb, simple. Well my system properties registers it as 384mb of RAM, and I've got a RAM optimizer program that recognizes the 384mb, but when I restart my computer, right at the beginning, only 256mb is listed. I was thinking it could be that the RAM slots only register 128mb each but why would my system properties register 384? It doesnt seem to be affecting my perfomance, I could be wrong though, and just havent noticed since its probably been like this awhile. If anybody knows, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
