I got a AMD dual core processor and I would like to know if windows Xp can take advantage of 2 proccessors ...for me seems like using only one....

As of now you can not take advantage of the dual core processor in windows xp as it is not designed for the same. well it depends a lot on the programs you run whether they are designed to take advantage of the dual core capabilities or not..... as 32 bit and 64 bit editions is concerned it is not advisable to run 64 bit programmes on a 32 bit machine .........

It Depends on the Programmes Mostly: If you have the 32 bit XP Pro, then not directly, but if you have the 64 bit version of the OS, then yes. Also, if you have the 64 bit version of any programme, or a programme that can take advantage of the dual core, like some games do, then yes, but to a limited extent

as far as i know dual core cpu support has been in windows since win2000 but to get full use 64bit Os with 64bit apps is only real way
