i bought all these parts
does anyone know if they are all compatily with each other
i need someone who is really good with computers.

main board accepts HT 800 and socket 754 up to 2gb dimm 184

also (sorry about all the extra details i have been adding)
will it work with Windows XP?
or should i use linux as a better budget cut?
if linux does anyone know a direct download link to a copy of one of its many programs?

All the parts will work nicely together.

it'll work with XP, but it'll probably be a bit slow. If you go with Linux , try Ubuntu. It's the most popular distro for linux

But I would advice upping the memory to a minimum of 512mb
and look at upgrading the graphics.. That board probably has and AGP slot, but if it has a PCI-express slot go that way. Also the HD is a little small for an XP machine.

it should be ok. hard drive is too small. probably need more ram and faster processor. if you arent using it for much it is a great budget system.

Sounds good, try it, if it works your golden, if it don't boot then try removing one thing at a time until it does, then you'll know what it is, works for me...
