Connect your Mac using ethernet cable.
Click on Apple icon
Go to System Preferences
Click on Network
Select New Location on the Location
Type in anything that you want as title of location
Select Built in Ethernet under show
Go to TCP/IP tab
Select using DHCP on the Configure IPV4
Click on Apply Now at the bottom
Close out the Networks page
Check if you're online
**Mac computers can automatically detect the router.
