I installed VISTA and just about all my software needed but i cant seem to get SATA controler in. I even did a online search but it wouldnt update.

How important is it for me to get that in?

my labtop screen got pushed in. now i cannot use it anymore.
i tryed to connect it to a pc monitor, but win it gets to my desktop the screen shuts down. and it goes back to the labtop screen. i am using i (toshiba) labtop. the typ of monitor is a (compaq)

I bought a PC just under a year ago it's a Scaleo P by Fujitsu Siemens, I would like to find out more about my motherboard which is ASUS P5LD2-FM/S but I can't seem to find any information on it, it's like it doesn't even exist anymore I've been to ASUS website even on there it's not listed I have also gone to Fujitsu's website and still nothing even search engines can't find it.

Does anyone have a board like this or if they can direct me in the right direction that would be a great help.

When I first turn my computer on, the power light will flicker for literally half of a second, and then turn off. AT that point I cannot turn my computer back on from the main on/off button. It must have all power removed, ie, lead removed from back or plug switched off at the wall. Then the computer might start perfectly. But this problem is continually happening and I dont know why.

It Rocks, My Computer Has Not Crashed Frozed Even Lagged in 3 Months, I had a PPC Mac It Froze ALOT
Also Don't Go Off and Say I have a high End PC

128 MB of Graphic Memory, 300 MHZ GPU
512 MB Of ram
80 Gig HDD
2.80 GHZ Intel Pentium 4 Processer
Windows XP, That isnt high spec!
It Even Plays the Sims 2 And My Sims is in a 15 Story Building And it doesnt lag, On a Mac G5 it Does The Music Skips Etc, Same Specs, Just a diffrent Processer

i have removed my heatsink before bcz of the noises it creates after a year using it so i decided to clean it ... at the bottom i notice a dry and cracking stuff(my first thought was did the heatsink melt the processor) then i put it back and then still got the same loud noise i decided to buy a chasis fan to cool things off

until recently i did some thinking and remember that i once saw a video showing a man putting on a compound or paste onto the bottom of the heatsink

so i want to know if the paste are available seperately or does it only come with a new heatsink?
how can i replace the paste with any household items?such as papers, silicon compound, thick glue paste? or anything which can be like the real paste

I transfered a video to a DVD using a LG video to Disc multi one touch rewriter. When I play it back on my computer it's fine. But when I play it back on my home entertainment system DVD I do not get any sound. Can anyone give me a suggestion? I'm using a DVD+R 8x 4.7GB disc.

Ive got a DYNAPOWER USA 86B2 PC case that I built up a few years ago. The only thing that gripes me about it is the front LED/Neon light bars. It has 2 vertical bars on the left and right side on the front panel. On both abrs at the top, the light stays blue. But on the bottom, the colors constantly change. but they change at different rates!! Is there anyway to make them stay the same color, or is there somewhere that I can get replacement light bars without buying a new case?

This is for a friend who has a hp 640i dvd writer and it would not open up the door. She went to hp and it gave her a test to use to check it.. it told her to unhook from the power and take a paper clip and insert it into a small hole in the front of her computer. This is a manual door opener.. Then reconnect power and see what happened.. She did all of the mentioned steps. The light came on the writer, and the door opened and then the computer quit.. I mean just shut off and will not come back on.. what is up with this computer smart guys.. Help my friend out please!! She is in telephone contact with me and is crying... We need some pc smart people and I know you are out there... please help us!

I just reinstalled my computer but accidentally used the reinstallation CD from my old DELL on my HP. And now my sound isn't working and PCI driver won't install. Do I need to reinstall with the HP CD (if i can find the thing) or can i keep it as a dell and fix these problems?
