Since it has such a huge drive, I would probably make a 20 Gig partition for Windows Vista (or whatever they reccomend), a boot partition, another 20-30 gig partition for Linux, and the remainder I would probably break up into two or three data drives, dedicate one to music/audio, and the other ones for whatever.
Use a program like (i wrote norton ghost first - oops) to accomplish the resizing, dual-booting, and adding partitions.

f-disk utility in dos can do it....if you're not familiar you could look it up in google
otherwise software like partition magic is really convenient for that.
