From the specs your provided it should run
But!
Id recommend more power.
2 Gig vs 1 GB
256 Vid vs 128
120 drive vs 60
3800 vs 2200
Do you understand what point I'm trying to make?
Your better off with a new machine
You might be able to run it. But how effectively?
I dont care if I get a thumbs down but Im going to be honest with you ask yourself why do i want vista? ok
Its a real buggy POS! now you just wasted your money. and dont forget they ""will not refund you"" it is just eye candy not to mention it will be more slower. Win XP with zone labs firewall (free) is more secure then vista. I switched to it I did not like it I wasted $168 now Im useing my XP os again.
oh one more thing the upgrade advisor is a JOKE ask M.S.

Hi, well sir, I would say yea you got all the goodies going for you, but, I would upgrade to a AMD AM2 3800(3.4GHZ cpu) with 2000 FSB, because with the new windows Vista your going to need all the Cpu power you can get. with the AMD Xp 2200 thats barley breaking the boarder line with vistia software, but 1 gig of mem can't go wrong with it.

Before you upgrade, download and run Microsoft's Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, which scans your system and prepares a report listing the components and software Vista will like, and those it won't. You can go to the URL below to find out.

You should be able to, but I've heard that 1gig of ran and 128MB of video memory are on the lower end of acceptable.

That aero feature is really memory-consuming. If you don't use it, you'll definitely be fine.
