I have windows Vista (not installed yet) I am currently using XP SP2, i have 11GB free space left, and when im trying to install vista ultimate, it says i need to make partion NTFS, If i make a partition of lets say 10.5gb for vista ultimate, will installing it on that partition erase my data from my C:\ drive? I hav backed up.

my computer has so many infected files that i was told that everything had to go and be reloaded so how do i do that and when its done do i just load the discs over again dell sent me all new discs do i just use them?

I have replaced the internal battery for my computer but the clock still does not hold the correct time. Anyone heard of this or have any suggestions?

my mouse keeps freezing up on me, its fine when its working then sometimes when i boot up it wont move, and some times when i am using its real slow moving and then lock ups.
any adice on how to fix this problem? and yes the mouse works fine, tried it on another pc and no issues.

i am wanting to upgrade to the new windows vista.. right now i have windows xp pro.. I have a Intel Pentium III processor, 598 HMz, 192 MB of ram, 20 gb hard drive.. and i have broadband internet, hooked up with cable... would this be ok to upgrade to the new windows vista???

Okay guys my computer it took a **** and now I put a bid on a computer with linux can I reprogram it to run windows xp the reason I need it to run xp is my internet card only supports xp. Thank you to anyone that answers.

The monitor shows "no signal" and then also goes to standby, the computer was stored for about 4 months without use but was previously working fine. Any ideas please. A "Janet and John" answer would be helpful as I am not at all technical. Thanks
