I am thinking about getting a new desktop but do NOT want Vista. All of the computers at stores like Best Buy & Circuit City have Vista. Is there anywhere to buy a computer with XP on it? Or can you put XP on a computer with Vista?

Recently I've found myself looking to "collect" and try out all kinds of mice.....mostly Logitech , who seem to be the OBVIOUS leader in the industry......I have NO experience with "Bluetooth" but will I be able to use any bluetooth mice with my regular old P4 PC by just utilizing a USB port? With no extra hook-ups or purchases? Also , what is special about mice that are labled "Notebook" mice? Is it just about the size and portability? , or is their something that would keep them from working with a regular old desktop PC. ALSO , I'd love to hear about your favorite mice.....any manufacturer....I've recently tried the Revolution!!!

Last night, my computer worked fine. This morning, everything works except my tower. Nothing happens when I push the power button. We had bad weather with lightening, could this be the cause? Just the tower is not working, the modem, monitor and router is fine. Please help!

I just replaced my dead motherboard with an identical replacement, but I'm getting no video off of the same card I was using before. I've tried the usual, unseat and reseat the card, and reseating the RAM, and all that, but I'm getting nothing. It sounds like the computer is going through the whole boot process just from the hard drive clicking, but other than that, nothing comes on screen.

It's an Intel D945Pvs motherboard, Intel Pentium D 840 3.2 GHz processor, 1 GB DDR2 533MHz RAM, 120 GB SATA HDD, and nVidia GeForce 6200 LE graphics card, connected through DVI.

Because I have a game that I haven't played since I got it. It's"Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" and what is a better video card for the game?
This one: 64 MB nVidia NV18 Graphics Card with DVI-TV-Out
or: 64 MB nVidia NV18 DVI Graphics Card with TV-Out
or if neither, what one can I get from Dell? Because you know Dell we have to buy our stuff from them. So, what do you guys recommend I use?

My new HP (Media Center) PC goes in to hibernation fine, but cannot come out of it.

When I reactivate my PC, it's power button lights up again, but nothing comes up on the monitor (There's nothing wrong with the monitor though, cos it works with another computer)

Can anyone help?

They advertise extensively on TV and print, have great prices, and free add ons, but......can they be trusted. Don't know many who have bought from them. They state they have won the Consumer's Choice Award 8 yrs running.

There is currently only 6% free space on that drive and diskeeper says it is not enough space to defrag it.

I could easily double the partition size and not hurt my total free space.

Diskeeper is warning that if I don't do something, the drive may become corrupt (or is already there).

I had to use the drive today when I had a crash, and it seemed to restore the computer defaults okay, but I'd feel better if the defrag program had more room to work with.
