Okay guys my computer it took a **** and now I put a bid on a computer with linux can I reprogram it to run windows xp the reason I need it to run xp is my internet card only supports xp. Thank you to anyone that answers.

be wise and pay for that computer with a CREDIT CARD through PAYPAL only.
in case anything goes wrong, you can then file for a CHARGEBACK through the CC company.
computers are a high risk area on ebay.

Of course....just reformat the hard drive and then install a copy of XP.

You could but linux will more than likely pick that card up.
