My fan is making noise and I am looking to replace the fan myself. Does anyone know where I can find Dell internals on-line?

You can only replace it with the exact and original Dell heatsink/fan due to Dell's proprietary components. Either contacting Dell or buying one from ebay should due.

Dell motherboards ARE proprietary, I know cause Ive owned and fixed many. Google it yourself and see. http://www.quepublishing.com/articles/article.asp?p=339053&rl=1

“And that is any fan will DO and not DUE.”
Says he who said proprietory.

Correct your own typos before you correct those of others.

Dell heat sink and fan is not proprietory. They are relative to the processor used. If you have a p4 processor, then any p4 fan will work fine providing that the fan has the specifications required by the processor.
Therefore, if the replacement of the cpu fan is warranted a user is not limited to a DELL fan. Any cpu fan that address the specifications of the cpu will do.

And that is any fan will DO and not DUE.

Before you replace it, try cleaning it. Unclip it from the heat sink and try to blow all the dust off it. A tiny bit of lubricant might help as well... just a drop of sewing machine oil or a tiny squirt of WD40. Make sure you remove any oil residue before putting it back. If it still makes noise, go back to plan A and buy the replacement.
