How much % performance boost in gaming if i upgrade from x1950 pro to 7950gt

Well you do get some performance improvement. But look at the URL and it shows the benchmarks. If you notice this is from last October. Nvidia has already got the 8800 out.

As for me I will wait until This summer, when the quad core comes out. They have the chips now but like everything else, I am waiting for the chinks to be worked out. And maybe the price to drop. That way, I will be upgraded for the next 10 years. lol You can go example, dual core, but then if you upgrade to core 2 duo chip, then you lose money on the dual core chip. Just easier to spend a little more money to get the core 2 duo chip. Same like the video cards. I was tempted to get the 8800 but I will wait and by summer I will buy THE video card. I know, in 6 months something else will come out, but gotta have it.

the 7950 is i would get.
