if none of the above answers work then heres a drastic measure. try turning you're computer on then before its finished turning it off. do this until you get a menu up saying: windows did not start up properly on the last attempt do you want to start up in safe mode? choose the safe mode option and let it load. unless you're virus is very deeply embedded this option stops it running. after the computer has started up run a virus scanner (there is an awesome one for free called AVG 7.5 go to this website and type AVG free in the search bar www.download.com) it should pick up on your virus. after it has finished restart your computer and its fixed!

Go to www.CyberDefender.com and download their free version. Then boot up in Safe Made by continuously tapping F8 when booting. If you see the Windows flag you have gone too far and need to reboot again.

When you get to safe mode lay mouse on top of generic icons and when you find the Cyber Def start it from there. It will take a couple of hours but well worth it. Good luck.

Sounds like you're infected with viruses and maybe adware. The easiest thing would be to format your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. This is the only way ensure you get rid of all of the viruses.

heres the link to the tech removal instructions:
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2005-120811-1051-99&tabid=3.

I personally dont leve the system restore on, it is the pet of virus's they go there first! and use it to stay on your system.
to turn it off go to control panel, system, decie manager and to system restore tab check the box turn off system restore, you'll need to do this to get rid of it, and i'd leave it that way.

after you do that you maybe able to get your anti virus to get rid of it but the directions in the above link i gave you will work.
