It is very easy IF you don't faint by the thought of opening up your computer.

All you have to do is unscrew the computer, (if it is a desktop, just take off the side panel, if it is a laptop, there will be a small panel with the hard disk icon on it, unscrew/take that off) and then unhook the old hard disk, plug in the new one, put everything back together, and you are good to go!

Make sure you make a boot-disk or a rescue-disk of some sort before replacing your hard disk, because the new hard disk will obviously be blank and you're computer won't boot unless you Install something on it!

good luck

You want to disconnect the powers from the wall before installing the disk drive.

The only tools you will need is the screwdiver and maybe those small screws.

Learn to slide carefully and plugging in the back like other. You sometime have to set the setting if it a CD rom or harddrive.

Usually very easy if you are just replacing the drive.
Just set the jumpers the same and plug in the cables.
You may have to detect it in the BIOS but most modern BIOS will auto detect the drive.
If you are replacing the drive with the OS it is more difficult because you will have to re install the OS.

it is pretty easy, just open the case, remove the drive, put the new one in after checking the jumpers are set to the way the old one was and put the case back together. also line up the ide ribbon cable the right way, (grey flat cable, the red marking on the cable goes to pin number 1)

It is very easy as long as you take your time and follow the directions. You need to be patient as well.
