My desktop is about 5 years old and has finally died on me before I could transfer my files. How do I get my files, specifically my music files off my computer and on to another one if my computer wont turn on? Is it a matter of removing my hard drive to another computer and if so, how do I do that? Please please please help.

I have a Compaq Presario 4508 with a 2.8GB HDD, 45MB of SynchDRam, and an Intel Pentium 200Mhz. I was running Windows 95 on it but I upgraded to 98. I hear Vista is much nicer than 98 so I want to upgrade.

I have to Hard drvies in my comp. I can see both in device manger but not in my computer. SO what can i do to make both of the HHD show up so I can use my use 80 gb HDD.

I want to get a new card today. I am willing to spend $150
256mb ddr3 or 512mb ddr2
Or should I just keep the card I have?

I'm in the market for a new computer and I want to get a beast of a computer. I'm looking to spend somewhere in the $700-900 range but I'm flexible (cheaper is always better of course). I've been thinking maybe I should just build my own. The only problem is I'm afraid I'll screw up and all that money will go down the drain. Is it hard to build one? Is it cheaper to build one? I'd say I'm above average with computers but I have never built one myself. Give me your thoughts on what I should do.
