Go to the Control Panel and double click the System Icon
Go to the Advance Tab
Go to the Startup and Recovery settings
Uncheck the box near the bottom that says "Automatically restart"

If that is checked, it will cause your computer to reboot itself rather that display certain errors. Unchecking the box will not fix the error, but should keep the computer for rebooting. Hopefully then it will display the "real" error, and once you have that you will be able to resolve the problem.

That sounds like a device driver problem, but to be honest I have never heard of anything like that.
I have had problems with device drivers ( dll files ) and the computer restarting for no reason is almost always a sign of a problem with a driver, and it has happened before when clicking on links or starting programs, but you should be able to download things from the net without that happening.
Be sure to try more than one site, and if it keeps up try doing a system recovery on your pc or having your pc repaired.
