Need instructions on this. Some online streams come in well; others don't load down at all. Some of the previous sites that I was able to load down no longer come through. Where on the pc can I change the settings to allow this? Thanks.

Now im not a fanboy of either, but I have bought my last four processors as AMD since they were just so cheap and amazingly ahead of Intel.
Given the markets today Intel has an awesome Core 2 Duo.
As a gamer I want something affordable that has a lot of capability to expand. I was thinking of the 6300 core 2. I recently read however of AMD releasing a four core chip that has significantly better power than those of Intel, and will be releasing in two months. Seeing as how AMD just released it's best processor at 450 dollars right now, should i consider waiting for an AMD that may be priced at a great value,...or should i buy a core 2....,also does vista make any difference in my decision???

i have installed the current avg 7.5. but my old avg 7.1 has been overwritten by this 7.5 if i delete my avg 7.1 folder from my c drive which is of no use
will it affect my system files.

The problem is that an application for example Internet explorer hangs after some time...When the problem application appears(the one which asks if u want to send the problem to microsoft or not,it recommends to upgrade to Service Pack 2,I am on serive pack one)there is no virus,adware etc...What could be the problem?...(i also have Nvidias 7300 gs 512 g4 bit card)

I have an Acer laptop which is partitioned; I'm not sure if this is something to do with the factory install or if another technician did this to my mate’s laptop.

I rebuilt the C: partition from factory install assuming this would clear both out and merge them to one. This is not the case. C: is now built and working fine and all sweet.

Ideally I need to delete the other partition all together without any effect on the C: I do not want to do a factory install as this may get rid of the C: again as it gave me no option.

If I cannot do that, need to safely delete all the files on this other drive and then reduce the size of this and move the storage over to the C: drive.

What is the best way to do this? Get rid of the drive or reduce the size of this. Please provide as detailed instructions as possible.

How does one do they steps in detail please to overwrite data?
Format the hard drive.
Then overwrite every sector on the HDD with data,
Then format again.

My Cd s and DVDs play real sluggish and choppy, and they didnt used to do this at all. I cleaned the lens, nothing. I assumed the device was just crapped out so I bought another one, brand new. It is doing the same thing. I have an onboard sound card,and a realtek onboard audio driver and I even downloaded the updated driver for it. Still doesnt work? What could it possibly be??

My wife was reading blogs on the Internet and the computer just shut down for no reason. Then I smelled something burning. So I unplugged the power cord.
