It should. Depending on your motherboard. I worked on one for a friend of mine, an old Gateway,
Pentium II 450 MHZ, Win ME which is like 98SE and I put
250 MB in it. If you get too much, the BIOS will let you know
on startup with a memory error.

Not enough information.
Need the bios code on the first flash screen upon boot up.
That lets me research the board manufacturer, and get the full specifications. If it uses PC100 SDRAM, and is a Pentium class system, it probably could address up to 64Mb in each RAM slot.
And, google.com is your friend, for search of the bios number.
Some boards have the model printed on them. But, an ASUS P2B board came in over a dozen configurations, for an example.
The BIOS number narrows it down.

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is PC Health Boost, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.
It's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://www.pcboostsoftware.com

Which motherboard do you have? It is quite likely that it will support 128MB RAM.
