I know my System can support Vista ultimate in terms of RAM (768mb) space (37.6 GB) speed ( 2.0 ghz ) AMD athlon, but I'm worried about my intergrated graphics card. It is only 64mb (x64 bit) nVidia Gforce4... will this support Vista ultimate aero or not?

My pc lately is locking up, a LOT! i'm not sure if it is power related, or irq sharing related, because I checking in device manager, and my videocard, sound,usb,nic are all on IRQ 11 for some strange alien reason! I have Win2k with ALL patches installed! how the heck do I get all this into the recommended irq's? I am a computer whiz, but now I'm stumped!

my cd tray started going crazy a couple months ago, opening and closing on its own..I have an HP and after trying numerous things it stopped so not sure what fixed it. Now all of a sudden its doing it again..I just cleaned the dust out of computer 2 days ago ..i have tried updating drivers...help plz !!!

I hadn't made any changes or tried to flash the board

I bought a brand new computer 1 month ago.Everything has been fine until today.When I turn the computer on half of my desktop icons are gone.I heard awhile ago that a virus can do that so I ran my Norton and it shows no viruses.Also I go to the START button then to ALL PROGRAMS and some of the programs are still in there but when I try to access them nothing happens.Any ideas onto what is happening and how to fix it? I have a Dell.No one has had access to this computer except me in the last 3 days so I know no one deleted anything and the Recycle Bin is empty.

I've got loads of viruses, basically loads of crap on my other discdrive which i want to use as its loads of memory but it's real slow & things keep popping up on the screen when i fit it.
CAN I erase everything on it & start again keeping the memory?
how do I go about it??

I have a "Dell OptiPlex GX1 : Intel Pentium III 450MHz" running on Windows 98. And I have no need for it. Is there anything that I can do with it? Can I 'add' parts to my newer computer, make it like a home entertainment system, record tv shows, optimize my newer computer, use the chip in combination to my newer computer, or take the memory for something?

I have a new video card put in, GeForce 7300 GS, into my Intel Pentium 4 Think Centre computer, it says that it can not find compatible hardware when I try to install. I already have something in another driver that the computer had, it is an intel graphics card, what do I do to make it work and why isn't it working?

I have Windows XP. The Disc Cleanup is compressing my old files. It's been going for almost an hour and is not even a quarter of the way through. It's never taken even remotely this long before. Is my computer ruined? Do I have a virus? I haven't loaded any new programs... I just can't imagine what it would be. Let me know if you need more info - I will check back again.

I have the above configuration. I am experiencing slow speed comparing to my graphics related work.

I need to upgrade my pc. Can anyone suggest which AMD processor I should purchase? It will be good if I could keep the same MB. I will also add 512mb more ram to it.

Alright, here's a stupid question for ya...

I'm a little behind when it comes to the ripping & burning technology. I just bought a new computer--it has a 500GB harddrive and 2048MB of memory. I have a cd collection of about 500 cds and would love to get them all onto my computer (over time). I don't have a clue on how much space music takes up on a hard drive... is it possible to get all of my cds onto this computer without it slowing down a bit? I don't plan to use this computer just for music... I also plan to transfer home videos and edit them as well as many pictures. Is it possible to have that much music, home videos and hundreds of pictures and still not have to worry about disk space when wanting to download a new program?
