...And you just throw stuff away in the trash icon without emptying the trash...does it still clear space??

when you delete items to the "recycle bin" they are not deleted from your computer and will still take up as much space as they did before. You will have to empty your recycle bin to free up space on your computer.

No , deleting a item / does not remove it from your hard drive /and truth be told empting the recycle bin doesn't either all windows does at theat point is write a 01 infron og the file so it is not seen by windows to truly remve a item off your hard drive use a good file shredder that not only deletes the file but rewrites the part it was on in the partition to 01010101010

No. The Trash Can / Recycle Bin is just a holding area for "deleted" items - you need to empty it to reclaim that hard drive space.

all files are kept on the hard drive this includes the waste bin ..usually this is only a Small amount..if your PC is being clogged maybe there are to many systems running on it at the same time..or you don't have much memory.in your system..go to system tools and clean the hard drive disc and PC pro grammes..then defragment the whole lot..delete pro grammes you don't use..then you should be okay..
