Guys,
I have the above configuration. I am experiencing slow speed comparing to my graphics related work.

I need to upgrade my pc. Can anyone suggest which AMD processor I should purchase? It will be good if I could keep the same MB. I will also add 512mb more ram to it.

My financial resource is limited. I need your valuable suggestions.

It would be better if you gave us more information as to what kind of graphic related work you are doing...

I can tell you right now that updating the processor to at least an Athlon series will help you out alot. It's a socket 754 board so the processors are going to be cheaper than dirt. For example, the Athlon 3200+ is only $50 on newegg.com.

256 MB of extra RAM is barely $26. The Athlon sixty 4 X2 is a minimum of $179. even however you will not see lots of a distinction with the two one the "loose" processor may well be my selection if purely because of the fact it fairly is well worth extra.
