Windows 2000 NT PRO.- when I click on the Kodak Imaging Program the program comes up for a second or two then the whole screen goes white. Can somebody please help me restore this program????

I'm using a 3-year-old eMac. Very rarely, and only in Microsoft Word (several versions), the cursor would take on a life of its own, go crazy and race backwards, erasing text as it went. I thought it was a glitch in Word but didn't mind so much because I could always replace what I lost and it happened so seldom.
But today it happened while I was viewing a list of my bookmarks in Safari. At least a dozen bookmarks were erased. I don't even know yet what's gone, but luckily nothing is irretrievable. Still, it shook me up.
Is it time to buy a new Mac?

Computer fans and LED on MB come on. No boot, no beep codes. Do I need a new MB or video card? How can I test this?

Asus P4T
Intel Socket 423 Pentium® 4 (not sure GHZ)
All 4 memory sockets are full (RDRAM Memory)

This was a friends of mine and I don't have specifics on amount of memory or size of vid card. Vid card has ports for 2 monitors and I have tried both. As far as I know it was working fine until one day it would not start, that's all the info I have. Thanks in advance

I had iMovie on my iMac but i went to go use it and it was gone. Its not in applications? When I tried to download it. It said it needed the version 6.0.1 and I can find that. Do you know where iMovie might be on the computer or where I can download the 6.0.1 version??

So...

I bought a copy of XP from a small computer shop in town...

"£80?"...bargin!

The guy hands me a small brown cardboard box, says its an "OEM" but "it will work fine", foolishly I trust his word and pay the £80.

When I got home I had a look at it and it says all this stuff about "only to be distributed with a new computer" all over it....It looks like an official Microsoft product.

Finally got my machine to boot from the CD, I kept getting stuck at the "KERNEL DEBUGGER DLL" stage...I take it there is some sort of link between this slightly under-hand version of XP and the trouble I'm having re-installing?

I've still got the receipt, so If I take it back tommorow and ask politley for a refund...Is it worth me telling him that Microsoft might be interested to hear about his antics if he doesn't oblige?

My usb port shows as working fine in the device manager. Shows no problems at all. But anytime I plug in a usb device of any kind it just doesn't read it. It won't register that anything is being plugged in. Any suggestions on how to fix this because it is a real problem right now. Thanks.

i have bought a seagate 160GB hard drive. i divided it to four NTFS partitions: 30G, 40G, 40G, 40G. But the last partition cannot be formatted. Someone told me old mainboard cannot support large hard drive. So i download the newest bios of the motherboard and try but nothing improved. Yesterday I was erasing my DVDs when I encountered a problem. While erasing this particular DVD I notice it was done and the disc did not eject itself out. I push the eject button many times but nothing happened. So I went ahead and eject it maunally. But my mistake was that forgot to turn off the computer to do. After I eject the disc ad restart the computer, I see that (there nothing in it) the drive can't open. I see its trying to open but it can't. Is there something I can do to fix this?

I have a Dell Dimension Desktop PC. It was purchased about 2 years ago, more or less, and I never use it because it takes forever to load up, and I think it's because I've installed hundreds of programs that launch at StartUp. So, my question is, in this case, should I just totally restart the computer from like square 1 (e.g., as if I just pulled it out of the box?) and how would I do this? (I'd like to take it back to the original Windows Xp setup screen, and set it all up over again.) How would I do this? Thank you

brand new computer, runs windows xp, 17inch screen but shows 15 inch windows, two inch black bar from top to bottom on the start button side. also the clock is 20 minutes fast every time I boot up.
anybody know what may cause these problems.

I have a AMD xp 2600 with 120gb Hd and 512mb of ram and its sluggish, i've formatted, ran all the antivirus, spyware, defragged and cleaned it all out but its still the same and i have 2-300 mb of ram free when running but i've heard adding more ram will dramatically improve things, will this be so?
