I'm not sure what the interface consist of. Do you have to buy a pc card to go with the device, or does the device plug in to ports already on the computer.

I've had this problem before on a computer I worked on but i haven't pinpointed it. I tried replacing the card but it still won't connect. I also tried scanning for spyware and viruses and it found some spyware which I removed and a couple trojans which it also removed. When I did a repair install it worked until I rebooted it and it went back to it's old ways. What's wrong??

I have a Dell Dimension 4700, and I need to install a standard video VGA driver. I have looked on Dell's site, but even after entering in my service tag, there is no obvious VGA driver listed. I have tried all the drivers listed on their site relating to video, but nothing has worked. Can anyone direct me to the correct driver? Many thanks!

would anyone know if it's still possible to find a 256 MB PC133 168-pin SD-RAM module? I have an emachines computer from about 2002 and that is the only kind of RAM that it uses. I know the format is outdated, but I want to see about updating the RAM anyway. Also, there are only select brands of RAM, such as micron, crucial, and samsung that are compatible with the motherboard.

The symptom :
a) When i'm play a music track with window media player 10 , the music SUDDENLY mute out ... and then it comes back in 10 second or so ... sometimes it takes longer ... or even gone 4ever .
b) I'm currently using a 2.1 sound system and the small left side speaker recently makes some distorted sound ( like the one on the radio ) ... this phenomenon happens not regularly ... on some day , it occurs , on some other day , it do not .
I'm sure I have installed my sound driver (realtek ) .
So what's happening ?
Thanks in advance , BTW , I have met some not-so-nice answer recently ( insulting , etc ...) . Hope u guys think b4 type .

I have tried setting the time manually, but it still runs 5-7 minutes behind. I bought the Emachines w2040 second hand, and it was infested with viruses, trojans, etc etc. I did buy the restore cd from emachines and now it runs great except for the time. Please help!

Took it in to the shop to have it diagnosed and of course they recommend going with the most expensive top of the line replacement. If Im shopping for a motherboard and processor can I go with any brand and have it compatible with all my other parts?, I do realize I might have to get new ram depending on what I go with. The fried parts were an AMD 900 and had it for almost 7 years.

I, as do or did many people, had a symantec ghost backup partition. I did not want the partition.
I purchased the computer and the XP that was installed before i bought it, SO why could i not reistall XP without using ghost and its unwanted partitioning ?

I just upgraded my pc by making the memory a pair of two (2) 512MB with PC3200 speed (400ddr). My pc does recognize the memory as now 1GB.

However, it still runs on Single channel memory.

Is there a switch or setting I can set to make the PC recognize the Dual-channel capability?

Other specs:
P4 2.8 GHz w Hyperthreading
Win XP Profesional
128 MB AGP Graphics
