would anyone know if it's still possible to find a 256 MB PC133 168-pin SD-RAM module? I have an emachines computer from about 2002 and that is the only kind of RAM that it uses. I know the format is outdated, but I want to see about updating the RAM anyway. Also, there are only select brands of RAM, such as micron, crucial, and samsung that are compatible with the motherboard.

This isn't the only site, the trouble SDRam is even more expensive than DDR however if you are running XP with a present 256 (or even worse 128) it is well worth the investment, also you will be able to sell it on as plenty of people can upgrade from 98 to XP (not Vista but who wouyld want to anyway?)

Yes, easily.
PNY, Kingston and Edge still make a range of PC133 RAM.

Try any local computer or office supply store... without wishing to advertise, I work for St*ples, amd I know that we carry them, I'm sure our colleagues in the trade do, too.

The brand should make no difference to its suitability...

once you're putting the ram in carry it down into the slot as you click it into place to ascertain it incredibly is in. If nevertheless no longer something you ought to ask emachines in the experience that your workstation can handle the ram or attempt flashing your BIOS to a greater contemporary version
