I have tried setting the time manually, but it still runs 5-7 minutes behind. I bought the Emachines w2040 second hand, and it was infested with viruses, trojans, etc etc. I did buy the restore cd from emachines and now it runs great except for the time. Please help!

Windows XP Platform has a built in atomic clock that should work with your platform to keep the time correct. If you open the clock in the tray by right clicking with your mouse , open adjust/date/time, open internet time, and check on ok to set your time with your ISP.

The time will be the same has your ISP time.

For your info., I don't know of one software clock for the tray especially the atomic clocks that do not have embedded trojans, adware and spyware. So I would stay away from them if I was you.

Check what time zone you put it in. You can always use Yahoo Widgets.
