Hmmm... I think you mean that either the computer's motherboard cannot access more than 8 GB, or that your version of Windows cannot access more than 8 GB. If that's the case, you can try flashing your motherboard (search google for help on how to do this, and don't attempt it before you know what you're doing, it's a pretty risky task for beginners) or you can update your Windows drivers.

I think you can still connect the 13 GB hard drive to the computer, but the computer will only access 8 GB if the computer is still "limited."

What is ur PC specification.

If it holds Windows XP or 98 u should be able to use a 13 gb HDD.

U have to format it properly. NTFS is a little fussy. If ur having trouble with NTFS partition or formating try FAT32 formating it is also as good.

Dont try all this stuff if u are new to computers or do not know the hardware part of it.

Any PC service guy should be able to fix ur problem.

Don't be stupid and try to stick it into your computer.

Go to CompUSA or your local computer store and buy an external hard drive case. Stick in your 13 gb hard drive, connect to your computer via USB, and voila...
