I have a very bad feeling that my computer is on the fritz. Firefox keeps crashing, and the PC is just generally acting weird. I tried "Search nd Destroy". It found 8 problems that it claims to have fixed. The browser continues to crash, and my computer still acts funny. Please recommend something besides shelling out 100 dollars to a technician to reformat.

Ok i have an HP Pavillion1230n.... it has an 200gb hard drive, Amd Atholon64 2.00 ghz processor, 1gb of Ddr ram, and a Ati Radeon Express200, Basically everything it came with stock.

Well i want to upgrade it, you know better quality, cool features, not necessarily software, but it can be any sort of accesory.

I dunno if it helps but my computer/monitor/and speakers all put off a blue light when turned on

Does my computer need to be plugged in to work? Because there is plugs all over the place and in the wall, and they look really ugly behind my computer desk so I want to take them all off. If I take all the plugs and wires off my computer, can I stull use the internet and my computer? Also it takes up lot's of electricity so it would be great if I could just unplug it all and still use the computer.

I've been running a Sparkle 350 watt PSU and it's served me well for a long while. However, I'm worried about how many new devices I can add on to my computer (hard drives, pci devices, dvd-burners) before I don't have enough wattage.

How do I figure out how many watts I'm actually using, and how many watts a new device will need?

I'm about to upgrade my computer, and I was wondering if it would be more prudent to buy a smaller capacity (40g -> 80g) hard drive to boot and load programs from.
