But can I fit new parts into my old Dimension case? It uses a Micro ATX form factor mobo, can I put an ATX in? Will it fit or cause any problems? In the case that I do need to get a new case, can my old HDD and DVD drive be moved over as well?

You will not be able to fit a full ATX into a microATX, so you will need a new case, or a micro ATX motherboard. You will be able to move the old HDD and DVD drive into the new case.

I'm not sure what an ATX is but I had a micro gateway pc.. And was able to put new modem, memmory, agp card in it.. The biggest problem is most parts are made for full size cases..the secure point is taller than the case, but there is parts that do fit.. And changing over your dvd and hdd is not a problem..

no you can only have micro atx, unless u get a new case. also make sure its the same socket type. Its really not worth upgrading a motherboard unless u upgrade the cpu.

If you end up wanting to upgrade a lot of things just build a new pc.

properly first a Dell measurement 2400 is a pair years previous, even though it remains a good pc. you could opt for to operate more advantageous ram like 512MB or 768MB in case you had a 256MB. a sparkling CPU (must be a similar Pentium 4 or celeron) , if the mummy board helps hyper threading technologies (sorta twin center Pentium 4 processor). If it in elementary words has a CD-ROM stress then improve to a CD-RW/DVDplayer.
