Intel (South Lake) P4 Motherboard R0 is my motherboard. i want to upgrade to ddr2 or ddr3 ram...but i dont think i can with this motherboard.

Look for the motherboard specs online and check often you can use other memory but it won't often run at the correct speed.

If you have a DDR system, you can't upgrade your memory to DDR2 without changing your motherboard. If you had an AMD system with DDR, you'd have to also change your processor too in order to move to DDR2. There is no such thing as DDR3 system RAM yet at this time. DDR3 system RAM will be out at the end of 2007, or possibly even 2008.

NO..that could mess up your motherboard, each motherboard has a particular ram. like a dell 3000 would take a DR2700 333MHz and a 520 would take DD2 at 533MHz.
