Right-click on your desktop then go to 'Properties'. Click the 'Settings tab' then move the slider under 'Screen resolution'. After each adjustment, click apply to see if you have the right size. When your desktop reaches the correct size, click 'OK'.

GO INTO YOUR settings in your display and push the slider to the left it will make is smaller ok

Sorry what do you mean? If you download or installed sp2 then I think it changes size in your boot screen. Please post more info.
