Is it better to have a water cooling system in the computer rather than a bunch of fans or does it really matter? I just bought a gaming case and am getting ready to put my stuff in it and wasnt sure.

I want to recover files from a Hard Drive that has a type 44 partition, meaning it was imaged by GOBACK, if i go and disable goback, it says that it will delete all the data from it... dont want that..

I need a data recovery software, anything other than Easeus Data Recovery. Preferably a free software or if not free. Please list out the softwares that are capable of this function.

"This Function" meaning recovering files from an "IMAGED" drive (with no partition letter)
Thank You

I am going to buy a new PC. But I have some problems with choosing parts. I am having problems with choosing the right processor and motherboard. I have already done up the graphics, sound, RAM, hard disk, ROMs, power supply, cooler and other parts. I am into gaming, graphics designing, music making and Half-Life 2 Modding. Please help me with the following questions:

1) Which processor is better? AMD Athlon 64 FX-57, AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core, Intel Pentium D 980 Dual-Core or the Intel Core 2 Duo?

2) Can Intel Desktop Boards Extreme Series D975XBX support AMD Athlon 64 FX-57, AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core, Intel Pentium D 980 Dual-Core and Intel Core 2 Duo Processors?

I hope anyone can help me with these...Thank you!

I want to upgrade a computer with some used RAM chips, I don't plan to keep this computer for long.

I'm wondering, if a RAM chip fails, what is the worst thing that can happen to your computer or your data on the hard drive?

Hey, I am trying to buy a Rambus non ecc PC800 memory from ebay. The one I have on my motherboard is (2X256MB)Rambus Non-ECC PC800-40 and the ones on sale on ebay are Rambus Non-ECC PC800-45 (2X256MB) so I am wondering if those two could be combined together to make (4X256MB) 1 GB memory. Can PC800-40 and PC800-45 work together??

Thanks

A couple of months ago I was was on the internet when suddenly I heard ticking sounds coming from the computer. Minutes later it froze up and after shutting it down it wouldn't allow me back on. I let it sit there for months without trying to turn it on because I thought it was officially dead. One night I decided to try my quick restore disks, which worked and the ticking was no longer there. Now two weeks after using it, it's doing the same thing again. I've tried quick restore but then the ticking starts again, stopping the whole restore process. Is there any way to fix this without paying an arm and a leg?

My old computer is in Florence, Kentucky and there are a LOT of files on it. I need a computer tech to copy all the files to DVD then ship them to me. Any ideas of a good computer tech that won't charge an arm and a leg. The files are worth $1000's of dollars - they have original source code on them.
