DDR2 DIMMs are not backwards compatible with DDR DIMMs. The notch on DDR2 DIMMs is in a different position than DDR DIMMs, and the pin density is slightly higher than DDR DIMMs. DDR2 is a 240-pin module, DDR is a 184-pin module

The slots are different. They look similiar but the notches are in different places.

Check out this picture of a motherboard that supports BOTH DDR and DDR2 memory and note the location of the notches.

Forcing DDR into DDR2 slot will damage the memory slot.

As long as the card fits a slot. PC ram and video card ram have no relationship to each other.

No, different size sticks, not compatible, and DON'T try it, if you did manage to fit it in the slot it could damage your board.

prob not its a little older then the new 1 so it prob wont work but what the heck give it a try!
