i have on my computer a small slot that says sd. Can you put a sandisk sd in this slot or do you need a usb tranferer to put data on a sandisk.i have these drives on my computer for removable disk E,F,G,H,I,J,K.

When I boot up computer I get a message telling me it cannot find this component and re-installing may help. I have re-installed my printer but to no avail. Computer and printer are HP products.

how do i go about it. and can i just reinstal my old one?
it has a cradle that has to be plugged into the usb port at all times. and when that's in i can't put my xd card in the slot.( like to transfer pictures) for some reason it won't 'pick up' i think it's interfering..
I'M PRETTY COMPUTER STUPID...SO ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED..

Last night I upgraded to Microsoft Vista. I have an Officejet 6310 All-in-One printer and am having trouble printing. I have the printer connected to my home network. When I send something to the printer, it will sometimes print the first page and then half of the second before quitting. I have played with the spooling settings and even tried printing directly to the printer. I can't even print a test page without it quitting after getting half of the MS logo printed. I have no problem printing from my XP computers that are attached to the same network. Anyone have any advice for me?

my pc mouse is acting weirdly. i already bought a new mouse, it works jes fine 4 about 2 weeks then it happens again! i changed my mouse like 3 times already!! do help me. I would say the easiest way to answer this is by psting your system information. Such as graphics card, RAM, hard disk space etc. If not you can do your own way. Its up to you.

in my original post I didn't list the printers I had tried, I recently built (or rather had built) a new pc, I am running Windows Vista. I have with no success tried to install 2 new printers, a Epson DX5000 and a Brother DCP-330 both of which have Vista drivers available to download. With both installations I get the same problem, at the stage of connecting the printer to my pc via my USB the installation stops, (i.e. the company installation screen does not change), the Windows new hardware screen comes up, with the usual 3 options. When I choose the search for drivers option no drivers can be found. With my limited knowledge I have come to the conclusion it is a motherboard issue. That said when I look at the connections of other printers they are connected to a 'virtual USB port for printer', when I look in my device manager there is no such port to connect to. Has anyone else had similar issues, if so how did they overcome them, I would be very grateful of any advise given.

installed a trust 5.1 sound card, pc sees it and i disable the onboard sound to use the sound card, can see optical working but no output from that or any of the outputs, have tried all settings etc , please help

Hi

I've got a Maxtor external HD which has been great for ages. As usual it's started playing up after the warrenty has expired. The problem is ,it won't power up. I've changed the fuses in the plug but it won't have it.

Could I transfer the HD to another casing? and if doing so will it lose it's data?

Is there a place i can download Windows Media Center in order to connect it with my XBOX 360 so i can watch tv and and the whole bit? I want to listen to music I have on my computer, on headphones, while I sleep.

The headphones have to be comfortable enough to sleep in, and sturdy enough to do so, too. They also have to be wireless, and I would prefer long battery life, and preferably something rechargeable, especially if it doesn't have a long battery life. It needs to last long enough to still be going when I wake up!

I'm especially hoping to find something I can turn up to a very loud amount of noise, to me, but not be heard a few feet away. I'd be willing to pay much more for this feature. It's a main priority. My current headphones are unacceptable in this respect.

An attached microphone for headset purposes would make them great for doubling for gaming, but isn't a priority.

I'm hoping for something in the neighborhood of 50 dollars or less, though if I get something awesome that will last for years, I'd be willing to spend up to the $100 range. If it costs more, I want to know what the price is.

We currently have three computers. Two are connected to the net, one isnt. We took that computer to the store and they said something along these lines;

"You can download this from the internet..."
