recently when I try to attach a photo, to an e-mail message, it doesn't send it. it reads some errow each time. I down loaded these pictures to my computer from my digital camera. I have been sending attachments the same way in the past. Did I make a mistake and do something wrong, that need to be corrected, so that I can begin sending photos again with e-mails?

I've tested the power supply, hard drive, swapped memory, pulled computer apart and put it back together to make sure everything is ok, but nothing is working. Not sure if it's the processor, motherboard, or simply needs a repair install.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and it is not charging, I dont know what the problem is. It did this before and i got a new adapter but now it's doing it again. I'm thinking it's the battery, but it might be something else, I dont know what to call it- You know when you plug in the adapter, the middle part that the adapter hooks onto, it's like a little pin What is it called I think that may be damaged. Any computer brainiacs please help.

I have a fairly new Gateway laptop with Windows XP
I installed and removed firefox and think my IE7 is corruped and I cannot reinstall IE7
I have Verizon wireless for internet
I cannot access internet options.
I purchased "Windows Live 'One Care' and it won't recognize I am connected to the internet and won't install
I have lost my internet explorer tool bars ie tools, favorites, etc
What are my concerns if I want to erase my hard drive and do a system install with the Gateway disk?

when I push the button to turn it on, nothing shows up on the screen, windows won't boot up all it does is the fan just keeps running and running (the fan that goes on right before the windows song plays letting you know that windows has booted successfully) we have just had the motherboard replaced and the computer is barely a year old. (we bought it february 2006)

I have a Compaq Presario 1245 laptop. I want to make it faster. What would most likely help me achieve that, more RAM, or a faster processor? Or do I need both? Are processors interchangeable, for example can I take a processor from a Gateway Solo 1450, and use it on mine if it fits??

I don't get good vibes about Vista but all new ones come pre-loaded with that. Comparing HP dv6208nr and Dell 1501 (with an increase to 1gb memory) or Dell E1405......don't want to spend more than abt $750........any recommendations? Could I get Windows XP instead of Vista?

I use my 2nd 80gb hard drive for music/picture storage. Each day there is a folder created with random characters such as "4e2f25d6cacc8........" Each folder has one .txt file. The filename of each file is msxml.[various characters]-enu.

Any idea what these are? Can I delete them?

I have an HP Pavilion dv9000z laptop.
XP/Media Center Edition
About 1-2 months old.

I install windows vista 32 ultimate. The drive worked properly for 2 weeks until vista locked and required a hard reboot. The computer would not boot with the USB 2.0 EXTERNAL drive so I removed it and everything worked properly; however, I need the data on the drive. The power to the drive looks fine and the computer actually pauses to recognize it however, it does not show up in "My Computer" tried hooking it to a laptop and it pauses also but doesn't recognize it there either. Please advise.

This problem has been happening ever since I got the machine. Buying a new CD/DVD drive made no difference. Each time I put in a CD the computer freezes. I have no use of mouse, keyboard, etc.. and have to manually turn the computer off. I use windows xp. Can anyone suggest something???

hi guys.. i have a Toshiba satellite p105 and i think i did something stupid , i un installed something from the clean up disk and i erased the restore point , after that i went to My computer and the DVD icon disappeared !!! i went to system device it shows this ! on the DVD driver , i uninstalled the driver , and from toshiba site i downlowded the driver and installed it again , and restarted my computer , nothing happened ...and of course i could not use the recovery CD cuz i could not see the DVD icon , and when i try to boot from the the CD no options to re install windows without deleting the old one .. i don't want to lose all my files !! ... any suggestions ??thx

my usb ports arent recognising anything, and have checked system devices, unistalled, and reinstalled. it accepts that something has been plugged in, but wont recognise the device... help!! do i need to check the bios settings? and if so... how do i do this?
