I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and it is not charging, I dont know what the problem is. It did this before and i got a new adapter but now it's doing it again. I'm thinking it's the battery, but it might be something else, I dont know what to call it- You know when you plug in the adapter, the middle part that the adapter hooks onto, it's like a little pin What is it called I think that may be damaged. Any computer brainiacs please help.

It's probably the battery. You might want to get a new battery. Also, it's recommended you keep charging your battery even if you're not using your laptop. Battery life will degrade if you let the battery discharges often. Good luck ;)

if your laptop was dropped with the power plugged in, it may have fell onto that area and busted the contacts for the ac/dc female connector on the laptop at the motherboard...GL

Chances are, it's the battery.

go to www.newegg.com and see if you can find your battery there. Becareful though, batteries can be a little pricy.

Best of luck.
