Hi i have an hp pavilion dv9000t laptop , i connected it to a plasma tv through s-video , i went to my video card settings and did what i had to do to see my screen on the tv , it did work but the screen was full of moving lines i don't know how to explain it, and i couldn't see anything , can anyobody tell me what additional things i have to do?

I have an old gateway with intel extreme integrated graphics. I know I need a new computer, but I got a hold of a 128mb pci radeon graphics card. I only have pci slots. I installed the card but the graphics are worse than before. No matter how high I set the refresh rate the screen flickers like its set really low. I have a crt monitor. Is this normal with pci video cards. I thought it would be better than the integrated graphics? I have 1 gb of ram, so thats not the problem. Any insight would be great.

I have a ste of Labtec speakes and sub woofer buy they wont work on my pc, they have been working then they just stopped, i have plugged the speaker cable into other ports and still nothing, I have also plugged the speaker cable attached to my monitor in and still nothing.
Can anyone resolve this for me please.

i am asking this because i am buying a new laptop this weekend, which is wireless and we don't have a wireless broadband account at our house. i am thinking about still using my old pc to access the net and use the laptop for studying and work, which is why i want a faster and more mobile pc. i want to get rid of the old pc in a few though, but i need access to the internet

I recently picked up a g3 laptop with 512 of ramfor some audio processing on the run. By adding , lets say, a 20 g external hard drive, does that increase my ram to 20.5? Will effect speed (my guess is not)? Or does it simply work like a giant flash drive? Am I just better off using the money towards a more powerful puter.

I have brought a toshiba laptop with vista installed and i find the screen sometimes flickers. not alot, but for example it does it when i play solitare. It is the first laptop i have had because i usually use normal computers. is it a problem or is it something laptops do?

I have a Toshiba, and sometimes the built-in "mouse" seems to take control from me. It gets jumpy, and doesn't want to obey when I try to move the arrow around. And then suddenly, it will correct. What's wrong?

My DVD player on my laptop will only play the first 40-50 minutes of any DVD I try and play. Whether it's old or new. Has anyone had any similar problems.

It's nothing to do with the player, I've got about five and all encounter same issue.

Is there a solution?

my mouse keeps freezing up on me, its fine when its working then sometimes when i boot up it wont move, and some times when i am using its real slow moving and then lock ups.
any adice on how to fix this problem? and yes the mouse works fine, tried it on another pc and no issues.

I have kingston 1gb datatraveler pendrive. It works good on windows xp. I had windows 98 on my computer I am unable to access. I had download the dirver form the website but it doesnot work well, after installing the dirver to my computer I restart and when I indsert the dirve to my usb port of the computer nothing happnes.
