There is currently only 6% free space on that drive and diskeeper says it is not enough space to defrag it.

I could easily double the partition size and not hurt my total free space.

Diskeeper is warning that if I don't do something, the drive may become corrupt (or is already there).

I had to use the drive today when I had a crash, and it seemed to restore the computer defaults okay, but I'd feel better if the defrag program had more room to work with.

C:\ is NTFS
D:\ is FAT

If we take the Nvidia GeForse FX 5200 128Mb & the same with 256Mb what will it improove in a game for the graphics or perfomance & speed of the game all the stuff
For exampl Need for Speed Carbon works fine with the FX5200 but some options are disabled like the shading & the road reflections. if i had the 256Mb one will it enable them or not?

I have the above printer and was wondering as I don't have a usb cable (which was not supplied either) but I have a spare ethernet cable and I know to hook the printer up onto a network you need to connect it to a hub via an ethernet cable, so can I use this method to directly hook it upto my pc?

If this is possible is there any significant difference or issues with this in comparison to using a USB cable?

I don't know why. I know I have not the right commands. I know my my knowledge of DOS is only in part. I try: (I type this on ntfs)

c:\format i try c\driveformat,,,,,, I try: c:\drive\format

It's an old machine, No matter what i do, it just wont format, any ideas?

I want to buy a DVD burner. I have a friend who has a Sony VAIO and she said Sony told her that in order to use her DVD burner, she needs to get a giga pocket. I dont have a Sony PC, nor do I think I have a giga pocket on my system. Do I need a giga pocket or not? Thanks!

OK, so the other day I tried to connect my Xbox360 to Xbox Live by connecting it up to my laptop via an ethernet cable, it wouldn't work (something about an IP address) so I gave up. But ever since the laptop will not connect to the internet, althugh it is connected to the router.

Any ideas what's wrong with the laptop and how I can sort it?

My laptop Dell inspiron needs formating with XP. the cd reader is dead and the only way to make things work is for me to put an external cd burner by usb, insert the XP cd and launch it from there.
Problem is that i cna't seem to find a way to get the external CD drive to boot. I went to BIOS and tried to change the range of the boot drives, but the USB was not one of the choices even though it was on and was plugged in properly.
What can I do?
FYI: My laptop is still functional, i can still go into windows and work from there.

Hi,

I am looking at buying one of the new wide screen tft monitors and was hoping you could help with a query. I also want to play my PS2 and Xbox 360 through it. Are there any out there that let you plug one or two consoles straight in to the back of the monitor?

So you would be able to swich straight from PC to console without any other gadget.

Hope this makes sense.

When i try and play a video on my computer either off my hard drive or off the internet one of two things happen. Either the computer resets its self or the media player opens then stops and slows down my computer to an almost compleate halt. Any help is much abliged.

I am using an a8n-sli Deluxe from Asus with an AMD 64 3200+ and windows xp pro sp2. When I go to capture in one of my off line programs the picture is fine, but when I start yahoo messenger all I get is noise. There is not even a pattern to the noise.
