If we take the Nvidia GeForse FX 5200 128Mb & the same with 256Mb what will it improove in a game for the graphics or perfomance & speed of the game all the stuff
For exampl Need for Speed Carbon works fine with the FX5200 but some options are disabled like the shading & the road reflections. if i had the 256Mb one will it enable them or not?

It's not for me i have a nvidia 7950 series with 1Gb of memory but for a friend whom has a bit old pc

The numbers refer to the amount of memory build into the card for storing graphics. The more memory, the faster the graphics can run, and the more detailed the screen can be. The card with 256 has twice the memory of the 128.
You will need to check the specifications for the game(s) to find out how may memory is needed to enable shading, etc. It will vary from game to game.
