It depends on what brand of laptop you're using. Some brands do not have good resolution- screens. I'm using VAIO laptop with 14.1 inch screen. The size of the screen is great. Its good for watching movies and stuff like that. But if you want a more portable laptop, you should probably choose one that has a smaller screen, like maybe 13.3" or 12 inches.

Well it depends of what you do on your laptop. The screen is nice enough to surf the net and do some office work. But if you want to experience gaming and programming and such, maybe a slightly bigger screen or widescreen is better.
I didn't mind it at the time. I just work a lot on mine and need any space available for work so a minimum 17" screen for me.

properly first, we will not permit you recognize which one to get. All we are able to do is make it easier to settle on which one suitable suits you. in my view i admire the 15.4" laptops extra effective. I actually have a widescreen one from Compaq and its a superb length. i've got been able to apply it in a good place including an airport with conserving comfortablity, besides as a superb extensive exhibit. whether you look to choose to apply it for a television? possibly the 17 would be fantastic. It in simple terms relies upon on what ur significant purpose for it is going to likely be. in the journey that your sitting at a table ninety% of the time the 17 may be fantastic. in the journey that your going to be on the line and shifting it from place to place the 15 could desire to be fantastic. standard i think of which you will desire to bypass to Bestbuy or Compusa and get a actual sense for the dimensions. do no longer make a mistake, as a results of fact ur going to be caught with the TOO huge or TOO SMALL investment.

i have a LENOVO 3000N100 notebook having a 15.4 inch widescreen. i have seen a lot of laptops having a 14.1" screen and to tell you the truth they look like the laptops of 60's (however they r not). they look too weird.....
esp if you r watching a movie or playing a game it is not a good experience. howeverfor office work they work just fine......
i recommend to have at least 15" normal screen if not widescreen. alternatively go and look out for yourself
