No, it does not harm your hard disk. the metal body of the computer as well as of the UPS acts as a shield to the magnetic field generated around the transformer of the UPS. Even the har disk of the computer is fitted on the metal grill shields the field.
Your hard disk will remain intact, if you keep it out of shocks and heat as well. For smooth running of the hard disk and better performance of the PC, do de-fragmentation of the harddisk once in a month.

It shouldn't... unless you are very unlucky.

Your UPS should have a well-designed transformer so it should not leak much oscillating magnetic field. The UPS should have a steel case which will trap most of the magnetic fields that are made inside the case. Your PC should have a steel case that will trap most of the magnetic fields that do leak out of the UPS before they reach the hard disk.

But, it's possible if you take the case off the UPS and the case off the PC and put them very close together... and your UPS is leaking a lot of magnetic fields... because you've got a degausser next to a disk drive you may degauss the disk which about as serious a wipe as you can give it.

I do not believe it would. I don't see what magnetic influence a UPS would have on your computer since they are made to run alongside it. If you are still worried, check the instructions for any warnings or look it up on the manufacturers website.
