The companies that mass produce cds, do not burn them. they press them. burning a cd uses a laser to burn tiny pits into the die that the writable cd uses. the companys that mass produce have a very expensive machine that presses them to make the pits and valleys

There was this machine at my old job that you could burn like 100 Cd's an hour (maybe less). You could look into a place that sells office equipment.

they have big cd-writers doing it constantly (robotic)
