Since the CD didn't Autoboot, Click on My Computer, Right Click on the drive with the CD in it, then Click Explore.
Look for either SETUP or INSTALL and Double click to run

do you mean 'make the cam' work?
depends on type, there should be an icon to click on the desktop or something in programmes.
some cams will only work when you are in something like MSN video call, some do not need drivers for this as XP adds them.
i use a logitech and have never had a problem, dont even install the full drivers now, just let XP do it.
if it is the cd then i believe the previous answer explained this

What you need to do is Unplug the web-cam from your computer first of all then place the installation CD-ROM disc in the DVD-CD drive tray and follow the on screen instructions and wait for the on screen prompt to tell you when to plug in the USB cable from the camera to the USB port at the back of your computer its as easy as that. then open Windows live Messenger click on tools then scroll down to audio/video and configure the camera there. good luck
